ABOUT

I grew up around all kinds of different animals and have been an animal lover for my entire life. I have always been especially fascinated by Maine Coons. This cat breed is, in my opinion, "the" perfect cat. My husband, knowing how much I have always wanted a pure bred, that's what he decided he would get me for my 50th birthday.

Beginning the search, we figured that, with how popular the Maine Coon breed is, it wouldn't be that hard to find a quality kitten. Well, we were wrong, it is- very hard. The hardest part, was first sorting out the scammers from the legitimate breeders, which there are unfortunately a plethora of. Locating a breeder who actually had kittens available from parent cats that were healthy, was the next step. I wasn't even thinking about breeding or "breeding rights" back then, I just wanted to find a healthy kitten from a reputable breeder.

Eventually and luckily, we found one only a three hour drive away from us. In October, six months after beginning the search, we brought home a gorgeous Black Silver Classic Tabby female kitten, which I named, "Uno".

By the time Uno was six months old, and remembering the experience that we had went through to find my "birthday kitten", my thoughts turned to potentially becoming a breeder myself. Since making the decision, I spent the last couple of years; educating myself on the Maine Coon breed standard, responsible breeding practices, feline nutrition-specific to the Maine Coon, cattery management, and feline husbandry, all while sourcing the best possible breeding cats to start my Maine Coon foundation line.

Although Uno was purchased by a reputable breeder, the health history of her parents couldn't be proven to be sound, so it was decided that Uno would be spayed. She is "Uno"- a perfect name considering where we are now. She is my gift, my heart, and pretty much Tiny Titans Cattery's mascot.

Our cattery is located in the "heart of the country"- just south of central Ohio, near Circleville -home to the famous annual Circleville Pumpkin Show, said to be "the greatest free show on Earth".

We can't wait to make your dreams come true with a future Tiny Titans Cattery Maine Coon!

GOALS

The starting goal of our program has been to obtain our breeding cats from different geographical areas within the U.S. from diverse lines, which promotes stronger genetics and more robust immune health in future generations.

We want our "kitten clients" to be safe in the knowledge that their new little one, whether pet or show quality, is not only exceptional in appearance but they are well socialized and most importantly, in the best possible health. You should be confident that when you find the kitten of your dreams with us you won't need to worry about scammers or that the kitten that you've chosen isn't healthy!

While we agree that showing in competitions can be a valuable way to learn about breed standards as well as to network with other breeders, it's not for every cat-or human- and isn't a requirement for breeding a quality cat.

We instead, intend to focus and dedicate our time on our cat (and human!) family here at home.

We do however look forward to following our kittens as they grow with their new families-and will cheer them on should they decide to enter them competitively!
